Good Morning my fellow friends of Tellox Web Hosting.
As many of you may know we are facing a potential serious storm event here in the southwest corner of Ohio, while our hearts go out to those in other states who have lost family members, homes and other properties this past week, we keep forefront in our minds that our first responsibility is to you our membership, in this light the following steps have been taken.
This seems to be an almost quarterly event these days.
As of 3:30 am this morning all sites have been backed up, while we do not anticipate any loss of server power we just felt it too big a chance to not take this vital step, after all we are holding your hard work.
For those of you who remember the event of September 4 years ago, we lost power here in Southern Ohio to up to ten days in some places, we have secured the ability to recharge our cell phones and laptops, and have purchased wireless airtime on the public networks in the event we need to keep in touch via email, we will unless there were to be wide spread catastrophic destruction and loss of life on our end, be there waiting for any support requests after the event.
There is a remote chance that again connectivity could be interrupted between you and the servers in New York and Chicago, there is nothing on any boxes in Columbus at this time, too close to ground Zero, however should connectivity be interrupted we will make every effort to keep you informed.
Lastly all phones have been forwarded or transferred over to our cell phones, we have purchased the ability to recharge the same over an extended period of time.
While I personally think this is a lot of hype there is the off chance that it could be something serious so we felt it prudent to take steps to protect all of us and our work we will attempt to update the announcements on http://www.tellox.met as often as we can, even if it is to say nothing happened
Hope to see you on the flip side of the week
Joe and the Tellox Crew
